Part-Time Organist | $300–$450+ Weekly Bolton Congregational Church, UCC | Bolton, Connecticut** Bolton Congregational Church is seeking an Organist for our 9:30 AM Sunday worship service. This is a flexible, Sunday-centered position with no regular weekly choir rehearsal requirement. Compensation is $300–$450+ per week ($15,600–$23,400+ annually), negotiable based on experience and agreed responsibilities. Weddings, funerals, additional services, and occasional choir accompaniment opportunities are compensated separately. Our sanctuary features a well-maintained three-manual Allen ADC digital organ with full pedalboard, 54 draw knob stops, and an extensive library of digital voices. Typical Sunday music includes a prelude, postlude, four to five hymns, doxology, and monthly communion music. Hymn selection may be handled by the Organist or collaboratively with the Pastor according to the musician's preference. The typical commitment is approximately 3–5 hours per week, including worship, preparation, practice, and communication. Practice scheduling is flexible. Formal organ training and previous church experience are welcome but not required. We encourage experienced organists, emerging organists, sacred musicians, music educators, students, and other qualified keyboard musicians with organ experience to inquire. We are willing to shape the position around the right musician.
